The Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao odds have Mayweather as the slight favorite.

After years of negotiations, trash talk, and back and forths between the two, the long awaited fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is finally set to happen on May 2. The betting odds have just been released for this fight and give Mayweather the slight advantage over Pacquiao.

Bovada, an online sportsbook, has Mayweather slightly over Pacquiao at -210 and Pacquiao at +170 with some ground to climb.

Some may think these odds are surprising after Pacquiao has gone 57-5-2 with 38 knockouts over his career. He was once considered to be the best boxer in his division in the world. A fight between the two has always been highly touted as the match up that would finally decide who is better. But after no agreement could be reached after years of negotiations, some think Pacquiao might have lost a step or two since the fight was initially proposed.

Mayweather, on the other hand, is the clear favorite according to the betting odds. His undefeated, 47-0 record with 26 knockouts is the best in the world. His next victim might be Manny Pacquiao. At least, according to the betting odds he will be.

Many think that Manny will pull this one out, though. The soft spoken and polite Filipino boxer is turning into somewhat of a fan favorite. Mayweather constantly is talking smack to Pacquiao, and it doesn’t seem to be warranted. It also seems that the difficulty in getting the match arranged was due in part to Mayweather’s stubbornness to do it on his terms.

However, the fight will be here soon. Once the bell rings, no betting odds anywhere can predict how this fight will conclude. Only time will tell if those -210 odds that favor Mayweather are wise or foolish.
