Jimmy Butler has been the Chicago Bulls team for much of the 2014-15 NBA season. Without him, it’s hard to say just where the team would be at the moment. Probably in the playoffs–but likely not on the brink of a four-game sweep of the sixth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

Butler has been outstanding once again through the first half of Saturday’s Game Four scoring 23 of the Bulls’ 50 first half points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field and 3-for-5 shooting from beyond the 3-point line, including this buzzer-beater to end the half.

The bank was open for Butler, as it likely will be soon for the first-time All-Star and Most Improved Player in the NBA in 2014-15. Butler will be set for a huge payday when he becomes a restricted free agent after next season.

Plays like this, nay games like this even more, are what separates the good NBA players from the great ones. Butler is becoming Chicago’s Mr. Clutch.

He’s about to get paid. But first he’d like to maintain that pace for the second half and get Chicago the sweep it needs to give Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose enough time to rest before their Eastern Conference semi-finals series.
