Wes Matthews showed up to the Trail Blazers’ playoff game on Saturday donning an Iron Man mask
The Portland Trail Blazers are on the verge of extinction in the NBA Playoffs following their loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night, and it’s not like they didn’t have any extra motivation heading into Game 3, thanks to Wes Matthews.
While still recovering from his Achilles injury and thus not being able to play, Matthews showed up to the arena to give his team some inspiration in maybe the best way he knew possible. The man affectionately known as “Iron Man” took things to a whole new level.
That’s because…well, he showed up to the arena AS Iron Man.
That’s some good stuff there, although unfortunately it didn’t help in motivating the team to a win to help keep their hopes in the playoffs that much more alive. The Grizzlies ended up coming back in the game to take a 115-109 win away.
But still, you have to admire the effort from Matthews here to inspire everyone, and at the very least, the crowd certainly loved it when they saw it.
Just because it looks so epic, even though it didn’t work the first time, he should definitely do it again before Game 4.
