The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to come back from a 3-0 playoff deficit, a feat never before achieved by an NBA team. So what will it take for the Bucks to pull of the historic sports achievement?

The Milwaukee Bucks forced a game five after beating the Chicago Bulls yesterday with a buzzer beater finish. Now they must win the next three games in order to clinch the series and move on to play the Cleveland Cavaliers. It is a daunting task, no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series. Only three teams, the 1951 New York Knickerbockers, the 1994 Denver Nuggets, and the 2003 Portland Trail Blazers all managed to force a game seven after being down 3-0. However, none of them were able to seal the deal and win the final game.

The odds are definitely against the Bucks. They basically signed their own playoff death warrant by letting the series get away from them. But there is still a chance they can come back and make history by being the first team in the history of the NBA to win a playoff series after being down 0-3. Here are five reasons why the Bucks could make history.

5. Defense

The Bucks ended the 2014-2015 regular season ranked number eight in the league for defense. They lived up to this title in game four when they forced 28 turnovers from the Bulls. Eight of those turnovers came from Bull’s superstar Derrick Rose including a steal in the final seconds of the game to set up the game winning lay-up by Jerryd Bayless. The Bucks also kept Rose scoreless for the entire second and third quarter. However, the Bucks need to find a way to shutdown Jimmy Butler. Butler ended game four with 33 points and has had at least 20 points every game of the series so far. He currently holds the most points of anyone in the series with 113. The Bucks need to use their ability to force turnovers while also shutting down the Bull’s top scorers if they want to win this series. Luckily for them, they may just have the defensive prowess to pull it off.

4. Jason Kidd

If anyone can coach a team back from a 3-0 deficit it’s Milwaukee Bucks’ ten-time NBA-Allstar Jason Kidd. Coach Kidd has an extensive knowledge of the game thanks to his 19 years in the NBA. He knows what a team needs to do in order to come away with a win. Even if that means spilling a drink or two on the court.
