Kid breaks Rubik Cube record, people lose their minds
A teenager breaks the world record for solving a Rubik’s cube, and the people around him proceeding to go absolutely insane.
The world record for solving a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube was officially broken by a teenager named Collin Burns. As is expected when a world record is broken, the room around him went absolutely bonkers.
The previous world record was 5.55 seconds. Colin absolutely shattered that with the new and current world record of 5.2 seconds. The look on disbelief on his face says it all. Then to top it all off, the cafeteria around him started shouting. They were so loud that the volume on the video has to be at the lowest possible level to retain any sort of hearing you once had. I guess I would be pretty excited if I saw a world record be broken too.
The WCA confirmed the record and it is going to be established as the current world record for 3x3x3 single solve category.
"“Although this result has not been uploaded to the WCA database just yet, we can confirm that this is (it will be soon) the new official WCA world record for the 3x3x3 single solve category. To our best knowledge, it has been performed in an official competition, with all the rules being followed, even the scramble has been checked for its correctness.”"
So there you have it folks. The kid officially broke the record and he is still just a teenager. What have you done with your life recently?
