New York Jets fan has a custom Marcus Mariota jersey (Video)

A New York Jets fan was spotted wearing a custom Marcus Mariota jersey.

The NFL Draft is just two days away and there’s plenty of intrigue about where big-name prospects such as Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are going to land.

Winston seems to be a strong bet to go No. 1 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While there’s a little more uncertainty with Mariota, he seems likely to be selected directly after Winston by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 2 overall pick.

However, one diehard New York Jets fan is extremely confident that Mariota is going to end up on his team.

A Syracuse student tweeted a picture and video on Tuesday showing a fellow student in his class wearing a custom Mariota Jets jersey.

Yeah, that was probably not a smart purchase. New York owns the No. 6 pick and it’s highly unlikely that Mariota falls to them or they trade up to get him.

Still, Jets fans are known for being fairly delusional, so we can’t say a story like this comes as a total shock.

Mariota threw for 4,454 yards and 42 touchdowns last season for Oregon.
