Mike Mayock’s mock draft is one of the most intriguing every year, see who he has the Philadelphia Eagles selecting.

The Philadelphia Eagles contended for a second consecutive NFC East crown in 2014. Ultimately they weren’t able to win the division, losing out to the Dallas Cowboys who finished an impressive 12-4, tied for the best record in the NFL.

Even more crushing was that the Eagles reached double-digit wins, finishing 10-6, and weren’t able to compete in the playoffs. That slight can only serve as motivation for the 2015 NFL season, and the journey begins at the 2015 NFL Draft.

Last year Mayock had the Eagles drafting Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix with the 22nd overall pick in his 2014 mock draft. Clinton-Dix was taken off the board at No. 21 by the Green Bay Packers, and the Eagles traded down and would end up picking Louisville linebacker Marcus Smith with the 26th overall pick.

Mayock correctly predicted that the Eagles were thinking defense, he missed the mark slightly, but couldn’t anticipate them trading down either. This year he has the Eagles taking free safety Damarious Randall out of Arizona State.

The Eagles needs are at wide receiver, safety and offensive guard. Clearly that safety need hasn’t been filled since Mayock’s last mock draft. After losing Jeremy Maclin in free agency, they need some new weapons for the man under center, who ever that may be.
