The Jacksonville Jaguars have seven picks in the 2015 draft. Here is the list.

The Jaguars shocked the draft world when they took Blake Bortles No. 3 overall a year ago. And look where it got them, picking third again, after drafting second in 2013 as well. But the positive thing is that with all these high picks, they are bound to get a few right, and one day may actually field a real NFL team.

Okay, done with sarcasm. The Jaguars actually are fielding an NFL team, and they’ve been intentionally slow in their rebuild. Former general manager Gene Smith had destroyed the roster so horribly that only a slow tear down and rebuild would do the trick.

Led by current general manager and owner Shahid Khan’s son, Tony—the senior vice president of technology and analytics, the Jaguars have become known throughout NFL circles as being the leaders in using numbers to put together their draft board.

Those computer printouts spat out Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson, Jr—both wide receivers—in the second round a season ago. There has been rampant speculation this week they could again look at a receiver, Alabama’s Amari Cooper—who even visited with the team. But the need is clearly not for another receiver.

Most likely the Jags will look to add a defensive playmaker or offensive lineman in the first (especially if they can trade down). They could also be looking for a dynamic running back, though No. 3 is too early for the top running back Todd Gurley, despite the fact he’s the best prospect at the position since Adrian Peterson.

Here are the seven picks the Jaguars hold in this weekend’s draft, which begins Thursday evening.
