Jaguars DT asks 18-year-old cancer patient to prom
Jacksonville Jaguars’ Sen’Derrick Marks surprises an 18 year-old cancer patient and asks her to prom.
It’s late April, which means that high school seniors and juniors all over America are asking each other to prom. We’re willing to be that few prom proposals will be better than Sen’Derrick Marks’.
Marks, defensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, surprised an 18-year-old girl with cancer by asking her to prom. Marks visited Khamaeyea Jennings at her room in Wolfson Children’s Hospital on Wednesday with a bouquet of roses and a question: will you go to prom with me?
“I brought these [flowers] for you,” Marks said. “And I talked with you mom, she said it was ok. I heard you had a prom this weekend and I wanted to know if I could take you to prom.”
Jennings said yes, and the room reacted with cheers and applause.
The video will melt your heart.
In case you missed that, Marks will be wearing white and gold and will wear his hair down, according to Jennings’ wishes. He seems to be just fine with those requests.

With all of the negative press the NFL gets these days, it is nice to hear a positive story. Hopefully Marks and Jennings have a wonderful time at prom this weekend – and that they take a lot of pictures to document the night.
Oh, and to the DJ, let her request any song she wants. She’s a rock star.
