The NFL Draft is tonight, and some — not all — of the top college prospects in the country will be attending the event in Chicago.

After months of waiting and speculation about what will happen at the NFL Draft, we will all find out tonight who goes where and who will be in a place to become the stars of tomorrow in football. But while it’s great to see the dreams of players being made before our eyes, there’s also always the intrigue of wondering who will fall and which player is going to be ‘that’ player who sits in the green room all night.

Aaron Rodgers was the worst example of this, and Geno Smith is the most recent. Rodgers came out in 2005, a time when the draft was still held at noon and lasted hours. That meant he had to sit there in the green room for five hours before hearing his name called but the Green Bay Packers.

Thankfully, these days the draft hold it’s first round on one night and has tightened up the draft time to make sure things are over in no longer than a four hour window. That still doesn’t mean players will sit there forever, as Geno Smith was there for an entire night and didn’t hear his name called until the next day.

It’s clear that the NFL doesn’t want to single players out like that, which is why they are now inviting more than just a handful of players and invite players who will be guaranteed to be sitting there for awhile — and not alone, either.

Here’s a look at who is going to be attending the NFL Draft tonight in Chicago:

  • Vic Beasley, DE/LB, Clemson
  • Landon Collins, S, Alabama
  • Bud Dupree, LB, Kentucky
  • Cameron Erving, OL, Florida State
  • Dante Fowler, DE/LB, Florida
  • Melvin Gordon, RB Wisconsin
  • Randy Gregory, DE/LB, Nebraska
  • Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
  • D.J. Humphries, OL, Florida
  • Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
  • Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut
  • Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State
  • Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M
  • DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
  • Andrus Peat, OL, Stanford
  • Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida
  • Shane Ray, DL, Missouri
  • Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
  • Danny Shelton, DL, Washington
  • Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State
  • Donovan Smith, OT, Penn State
  • Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
  • Laken Tomlinson, OL, Duke
  • Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
  • Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
  • Leonard Williams, DL, USC

Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota — the consensus No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the draft — will not be attending and will instead be at home with their families watching the draft. Outside of that, literally everyone else is going to be there as the green room is going to be packed all night long, and whoever sits there the longest likely won’t have to do it alone.
