NFL Draft 2015: Best players available after Round 2
By Will Osgood
After two completed rounds of the 2015 NFL draft, who are the best players available?
As we did after the first-round of last night’s draft, we again reevaluate the draft board now that the second round has come to a conclusion. Many of the names at the top could be gone before you even have time to read this.

Just know there presence on this list means they were not selected in the second-round of Friday’s continuation of the three-day NFL selection meeting.
Without further ado, the best players available heading into the third-round, with comments for the most intriguing players (based the criteria of this analyst) and numbers beside name mostly representing where they ranked on remaining board entering the day:
- La’el Collins, OL, LSU
Collins gave the league an ultimatum prior to the start of Friday night’s second- and third-rounds: draft me tonight or I don’t play (paraphrased). So far, hasn’t worked.
Second Round Grades
3. Chris Conley, WR, Georgia
I’m obviously much higher on Conley than most. Some teams going to get a bargain in the third- or fourth-round.
4. Owamagbe Odighizuwa, EDGE, UCLA
What’s not to love about “Ziggy” or “Diggy” or whatever his shorthand is that we’ve agreed upon? How has he not been picked yet?
- Clive Walford, TE, Miami
In this analyst’s opinion, Walford is the best tight end in the draft. But it’s not totally surprising he isn’t gone yet. It also wouldn’t be surprising to see him end up in New England for several reasons.
9. T.J. Clemmings, OL, Pittsburgh
14. Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
As much as this analyst isn’t a fan, at some point the value is too high not to take him.
17. Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn
If he could catch he’d be way gone by now.
18. Paul Dawson, ILB, Texas Christian
23. Henry Anderson, DE, Stanford
Some thought he was a first-round player. Surprised he hasn’t been picked yet.
Third Round Grades
24. Lorenzo Mauldin, EDGE, Louisville
26. P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State
Arrest earlier this offseason likely playing into why Williams has fallen out of the first two rounds.
27. A. J. Cann, OL, South Carolina
Surprised the Patriots didn’t take him with the final pick of the second-round.
28. Eli Harold, EDGE, Virginia
Undersized to some. Not a total surprise he’s fallen out of the first two rounds.
30. Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana
Really surprised neither Coleman nor Duke Johnson taken yet. Great values in the third-round.
31. Duke Johnson, RB, Miami
32. Danielle Hunter, DE, LSU
33. Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
Really athletic defensive lineman. Expect him to go soon.
38. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon
39. Josue Matias, OL, Florida State
40. Grady Jarrett, DT, Clemson
42. Kevin White, CB, TCU
There’s no doubt that if he were bigger he’d be gone by now.
43. Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State
44. Zach Vigil, ILB, Utah State
Best inside linebacker most people don’t know about.
47. Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State
48. Josh Shaw, CB, Southern California
49. Xavier Cooper, DT, Washington State
Fourth Round Grades
50. Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State
Many people have him way higher than this. Some thought he’d go early second-round.
52. Chris Bonner, QB, CSU-Pueblo
My highest rated quarterback left. Who knows how NFL actually views him though.
54. Derron Smith, S, Fresno State
55. Sean Mannion, QB, Oregon State
Bad senior tape doesn’t help his cause. But Mannion has all the tools to be great.
55. David Johnson, RB, Northern Iowa
Basically a rich man’s (per se) version of Pierre Thomas.
56. Tre’ Jackson, OG, Florida State
57. Rannell Hall, WR, UCF
58. Blake Bell, TE, Oklahoma
Interesting player. Played first three years OU as a quarterback. Moved to tight end as a senior. Basically Tim Tebow if Tebow hadn’t insisted on playing quarterback.
59. Arie Kouandijio, OG, Alabama
60. Blake Sims, QB, Alabama
I’m way higher on him than most. He won’t be drafted until Day 3.
61. Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas
It’s a legitimate toss-up between Lewis and Tre McBride as to which one is the better small school wide receiver prospect.
63. Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary
64. Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA
Wouldn’t surprise me to see Hundley as next QB off the board now.
65. Chaz Green, OL, Florida
66. Michael Bennett, DL, Ohio State
67. Gabe Wright, DL, Auburn
68. Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor
Petty could also go soon if a team deems quarterback as a big need.
69. Kwon Alexander, LB, LSU
70. Jordan Hicks, LB, Texas
71. Kenny Bell, WR, Nebraska
72. Trey Flowers, DE, Arkansas
