NBA Rumors: Cavaliers already recruiting Kevin Love to stay with team
The Cleveland Cavaliers are attempting to recruit Kevin Love to stay with their team next year.
Even though the Cleveland Cavaliers still have some basketball left to play, Kevin Love’s season is over due to a shoulder injury suffered in game 4 of the Cavs first round match up against the Boston Celtics. That means the recruiting process to keep the soon to be free agent in Cleveland starts now for the Cavs.
LeBron James expressed his feelings towards Love immediately following the Game 3 win over the Celtics. Apparently James thinks that Love is an outstanding competitor and wants him back in Cleveland. Those are kind words coming from the man who was thought to at one time not like Love and his contributions for the Cavs.

Kyrie Irving expressed his feelings towards Love and the emotions that were racing through his mind following the injury saying, “when one of your brothers goes down, there’s a piece of us that goes with him.”
Irving developed a pretty positive relationship with the super star forward this past year, so it’s of no surprise that he wants him to stick around in Cleveland a bit longer.
While all these nice words from LeBron and Kyrie probably mean the world to Love, the real reason he will want to stay in Cleveland is because of how well the team has been playing with him. Making the playoffs is something the Minnesota Timberwolves could never give him. And the fact that Cleveland is a title contender who is willing to pay him a max deal is a luxury that most teams cannot afford.
As the recruiting process plays out, it’s clear the Cavs have an advantage. They do get a head start and are the only team who can communicate with the super star right now. So for now, it seems that Cleveland is in the forefront for the chase of their own forward. Love will be out for 4-6 months, so he is going to have some time to think. But all of these questions won’ t even begin to be answered until the season concludes. The Cavaliers are going to be worried more about the Bulls than Love come Monday, as Cleveland faces the best team yet in the 2015 playoffs.
