Golf wouldn’t be the sport you would expect to watch to get warmed up for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, but it appears everyone is in the mood for a rumble.

Keegan Bradley and Miguel Angel Jimenez got into a heated discussion that nearly resulted in a fight during their rounds Friday at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Match Play.

The entire incident occurred on the 18th hole. Bradley shanked his drive into a TV tower and Jimenez apparently disagreed with how Bradley took his drop. Things really escalate when Bradley’s caddie jumps into the fray and Jimenez says something to him.

Bradley would be the money line favorite in a fight, as his four inches on the 5-10 Jimenez would be a major advantage.

Predictably, Sergio Garcia offered his thoughts and says that Bradley may have a history of these types of incidents.

That may be true, but Jimenez helped start the situation by questioning Bradley’s drop with a rules official nearby in essentially a meaningless match. Both probably deserve some blame.

An actual fight could have helped infuse some excitement into the sport while riding the coattails of the huge fight tonight.
