Manny Pacquiao scarfed down Butterfinger after weigh-in
Manny Pacquiao is one of the best and most disciplined boxers in the entire world. He celebrated his weigh-in with Floyd Mayweather by downing a Butterfinger.
If you’re looking for a sporting event to end all sporting events, look no further than the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight on Saturday night. The two boxing superstar will face off in the fight everyone has been waiting for.
Mayweather will likely be the favorite to win the match because of his 47-0 record and his ability to win by knockout more than half the time.
The 38-year-old Mayweather will be taking on 36-year-old Pacquiao in a fight for the ages as the two will square off with bragging rights on the line. This is a fight that has been talked about for years, but is just now actually coming to life.
Before every boxing match, the tradition of weighing in happens in front of cameras and hundreds of thousands of people watching live. Boxers have a strict diet leading up to the match and the weigh-in records just how well they followed that diet.
For the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, the weight limit was set at 147. It’s always suspenseful watching the two look each other straight in the eyes while they talk a little bit of trash beforehand.
On Friday evening, Mayweather weighed in at 146 pounds while Manny Pacquiao weighed in at 145, giving both a reason to celebrate. It’s the way Manny celebrated that has everyone laughing and loving his seemingly innocent personality.
Manny celebrated by downing some Butterfinger Cups.
The 36-year-old who is 57-5-2 during his professional career thought it was the perfect time to celebrate by eating one of his favorite treats — and one by his sponsor. OK, so maybe this was a sponsorship ploy as he did take a pre-weigh-in selfie that he posted on Twitter with his Butterfinger Cups in hand.
Pacman has been an absolute advertising junkie for the past couple of weeks and it seems like everything he posts on social media is for a sponsor. The guy loves to give his sponsors what they want and Butterfinger has to be pretty happy with the exposure he gave them.
MayPac is going to be a fight to remember. Let’s hope this Butterfinger didn’t weigh him down.
