5 reasons Steph Curry was the right choice for NBA MVP
Golden State Warriors’ point guard Steph Curry is expected to be named the league MVP on Monday. Does he deserve the award?
According to sources, such as CSNBayArea, Golden State Warriors‘ point guard Steph Curry has will be awarded the 2015 NBA MVP Award on Monday. The 27-year-old superstar guard was one of two finalists for the award as he beat out the Rockets‘ James Harden.
While he was expected to be named MVP, Curry was still one of the least-respected candidates in quite some time as people sometimes overlooked him even though he led the Warriors from pretty good NBA team last year to the top team this year.
Curry led the Warriors to the best record in the NBA this season and the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
Averaging 23.8 points per game, Curry will be the the lowest-scoring MVP since Steve Nash in 2005-06.
It’s kind of hard to believe he will be the lowest-scoring in 10 years because of all his highlight-reel plays, but he does so much more for the Warriors than just score.
That being said, it’s time to take a look at why the fifth-year point guard was the right choice for league MVP, beating out James Harden, the league’s second-highest scorer.
