Aaron Brooks is giving the Bulls quality minutes off the bench in Game 1 against the Cavs and even sank a three that would make Stephen Curry proud.

Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and the Chicago Bulls looked to pull off the Game 1 upset against LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night and got some help from reserve point guard Aaron Brooks.

The Bulls added Brooks to be the primary backup to Rose this year and he has played well in spurts this year and the Bulls are going to rely on him and the rest of the team’s bench being difference-makers in this series that could go the full seven games.

Brooks stepped up late in the third quarter when he rose up and sank a three pointer while falling down to give the Bulls three big points in a game that figures to be decided by a possession or two.

Brooks has just five points in nine minutes at the time of publishing but when this one comes to an end we could be looking back to this fall-down three as the one that was the difference.

How unlikely of a hero would Aaron Brooks have been in a game with Rose, Butler, Pau Gasol, LeBron and Irving?

That’s the NBA playoffs for you and you can watch the final minutes of the game between the Bulls and the Cavs on TNT.
