Daily Fantasy Baseball: FanDuel Lineup For May 5

FanDuel Lineup For May 5

Here is my FanDuel lineup for May 5.

Pitcher:

Danny Salazar, Indians ($7,100): Salazar come into the contest averaging 17.3 fantasy points a contest. I like him at this price and believe he can keep the good work up at Kansas City. The Royals are good, but Salazar has been great on the road.

Catcher:

Miguel Montero, Cubs ($2,900): Montero is facing the Cubs biggest rival and will hopefully be up to his best as the Cubs will need him to come through today. He delivered well last night against the Cardinals going 2-4 with 3 RBIs a run and a walk.

First Baseman:

Kendrys Morales, Royals ($2,600): Morales has always been a player that I have liked in fantasy baseball. He has solid and cheap power. Plus he has a knack for getting RBIs. Morales has hit safely in all but one of his last several games and should be a safe bet to perform for us today.

Second Baseman:

Jimmy Parades, Orioles ($3,100): Parades is a nice, fairly cheap option here that fits the bill well for us at 2nd base. He is hitting the ball well lately and should continue to do so today.

Third Baseman:

Josh Donaldson, Blue Jays ($3,900): Donaldson is the kind of player who you put in and hope that he does his thing and goes yard. My hope is that he will do so and with Pineda pitching on the road I think we stand a pretty good chance.

Shortstop:

Adeiny Hechavarria, Marlins ($2,800) Salary restriction kind of forced my hand here as Hechavarria was not my first option, but I do trust him enough to roll him out there today and hope for the best. If you are like me and do not want to put him out there my other thought here would be Brandon Crawford.

  • Outfield:

Giancarlo Stanton, Marlins ($4,800) Stanton has had Strasburg’s number every time they have faced so I am going with him tonight. Plus if you are going to spend big who is better to roll with than Stanton anyway.

Josh Reddick, Athletics ($4,100) For my other OF we are going with who I believe is a bit under-priced and that is Josh Reddick. Reddick has been pretty hot lately and clubbed two homers and 8 RBIs over his last four games.

Alex Gordon, Royals ($3,100) Alex Gordon rounds out our OF starters with a pretty cheap pick at $3,100. Gordon adds a decent amount of upside and is the kind of guy who could produce upwards of 10 points for us tonight. It is always nice to have that kind of pop in your lineup when you are using the cheaper players.

As always thanks for stopping here at Fantasy CPR and best of luck to you FanDuelers.
