Gerrit Cole, CIN @ PIT – FD $9,200 DK $9,500
The Pittsburgh Pirates got killed 7-1 on Tuesday in Pittsburgh by the Cincinnati Reds. The Pirates pitching didn’t fare too well against the Reds hitters, but Cole has been pitching lights out. He has a 4-0 record with a 1.76 ERA and 35 strikeouts. Cole was also named National League pitcher of the month. Cole is going to have to get some offense behind him to get the win, but I look for Cole to have a great game.
A.J. Pierzynski, PHI @ ATL – FD $2,600 DK $3,500
The Atlanta Braves have a great matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies because the Phillies pitching staff ranks 24th in baseball. Pierzynski had a decent game on Tuesday as he scored 2.25 points on FanDuel, but I look for him to have a great game against Philly tonight.

Mark Teixeira, NYY @ TOR – FD $3,600 DK $4,400
The Toronto Blue Jays have the worst pitching staff in baseball, which bodes well for the Yankees offense, in particular Teixiera. He has hit a home runs in his last two games, and he has 10 on the season with 22-RBI. I love the play of Teixeira because his salary is low for a power first baseman, but his production has been off the charts lately.
Howie Kendrick, LAD @ MIL – FD $3,000 DK $3,900
Kendrick has a fantastic matchup against the Brewers once again. Kendrick went 2-for-4 in Tuesday’s game, and he ended the game with 4.5 FanDuel points. Kendrick is another value play because his salary is low, and his production is pretty consistent.
Matt Carpenter, CHC @ STL – FD $4,100 DK $4,100
Carpenter is a beast. He went yard against the Cubbies on Tuesday, which led him to a great night on FanDuel with 9.5 points. Carpenter is a great play on Wednesday night because of his previous success against the Cubs.
Andrelton Simmons, PHI @ ATL – FD $2,600 DK $3,800
The Braves absolutely destroyed the Phillies on Tuesday night. Simmons has had back-to-back games with at least 4.5 points on FanDuel. Simmons has gone 3-for-7 thus far in the series, and he is another great value play Wednesday night.
Joc Pederson, LAD @ MIL – FD $ DK $4,400
Pederson has been hitting the Milwaukee pitching staff extremely well. He has gotten on base 5 times in the series, but he only scored once. I look for the Dodgers and Pederson to be able to hit the Brewers pitching tonight, so any Dodger is a great play Wednesday night.
Alex Gordon, CLE @ KC – FD $3,100 DK $4,400
The Kansas City Royals were able to tag the Indians pitching on Monday night without Lorenzo Cain in the lineup. Gordon went 2-for-3 on Tuesday night with an RBI, as he stepped up to fill the void Cain left. Gordon had solid production against the Indians, as he scored 5.75 points on FanDuel. I look for Gordon to have another solid performance against the Indians.
Mookie Betts, TB @ BOS – FD $3,000 DK $4,500
The Boston Red Sox have had a great offensive series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Hanley Ramirez injured his left shoulder on Monday when he crashed into the wall in left field trying to make a catch. With this injury, Betts is going to have to step it up today against the Rays, and I look for Betts to answer the call. However, it will be difficult to match the production of Ramirez.
