Forget the Vancouver green men, dressing in a full astronaut gear is now the coolest way a fan has tried to distract an opposing hockey team.

A fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning pulled out all the stops during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference second round against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, via Cork Gaines of Business Insider.

Trying to distract the normally unflappable Carey Price is typically a fool’s errand, and he even seemed to get a bit of a chuckle out of it. However, Price allowed the game-winning goal to rising star Tyler Johnson in the final seconds of Game 3, so maybe the astronaut had some sort of lasting effect.

In fact, something about playing Tampa Bay in general seems to get to Price. The likely NHL MVP went 0-4-1 with a 3.47 goals against average versus the powerful Lightning offense in the regular season and posted a 44-11-5 mark against every other team.

No word if the astronaut will be in the building for Game 4 Thursday night when the Lightning go for the sweep. If the Canadiens force the series back to Montreal, don’t expect any astronaut costumes in the Bell Centre.
