Corey Brewer did the unthinkable, chasing down and blocking a dunk from Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin on a breakaway is about as sure as two points come in the NBA. He’s fast, powerful, and can throw down dunks with near unmatched authority. Corey Brewer has not heard these things about Griffin.
Griffin got loose on a fast break in game three between the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets, which is when this happened:
That’s not something I can ever remember seeing happening to Griffin. Kudos to Brewer for not only being willing to potentially put himself in harm’s way, but also having the timing to make the block from behind and then keep the possession alive.
Make sure you watch that video several times and commit it to memory. I doubt we’ll see anything like that with Griffin trying to dunk ever again, or at least in the near future.
