Derrick Rose’s buzzer-beater gets the ‘Unexpected Thug Life’ treatment

On Friday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls were duking it out in the United Center. Game Three was on the line with the series tied at 1-1, both teams looking for a win to take control of the series.
That is when Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose stepped up to make one of the biggest shots you will ever see in the NBA. Three seconds on the clock, game on the line, Rose gets the in-bounds pass and banks in a three-pointer to win the game with Tristan Thompson in his face.
Afterwards Rose hardly showed any emotion or signs of celebration as his teammates and the hometown fans lost their respective minds and madness descended upon Chicago. He was so calm and collected that it reminded me of this trend on the internet of taking videos and editing them into these clips called “Unexpected Thug Life.”
The trend has become so big that it has its own dedicated subReddit. Basically it takes videos of people looking particularly awesome at unexpected times
Even the President’s State of the Union address provided a moment that was turned into a video for this trend.
So why not make a video for Derrick Rose’s game-winning buzzer beater against the Cavaliers.
