Ryan Miller. 24. player. 12. <p>Ryan Miller was the premier American goaltender in the NHL at the turn of the century after winning the Hobey Baker Award at Michigan State in 2011. He set a NCAA record with 10 shutouts and a .950 save percentage that year while also leading the nation in wins and GAA. He parlayed his college success with the Spartans into being the 138th selection in the 1999 draft of the Buffalo Sabres.</p>
<p>Miller was often the best player on some poor Sabres teams so his stats didn’t look as stellar as some of his contemporaries on other teams, but he did win the Vezina in 2009-2010 after recording a 41-18-8 record and a career-high 2.22 GAA and a .939 save percentage.</p>
<p>He was also stellar in international play during the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver when he had a 5-0-1 record and led the Americans to the silver medal after losing a heartbreaker to the Canadians in the gold medal game.
