After hitting a huge buzzer beating three to give the Cleveland Cavaliers the win over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, LeBron James admitted that he scratched the original play that was drawn.

LeBron James hit the biggest shot of the playoffs for the Cavaliers on Sunday and saved the team from being put on the brink of elimination.

It turns out that the shot in the corner from LeBron wasn’t even the play called on the court.

After hitting the big shot, LeBron admitted to reporters that the play Cleveland ran at the end wasn’t even the one that was drawn up. So instead of running whatever head coach David Blatt had drawn up, he changed it on the fly to give his team the win.

Based on LeBron’s reaction, it appears he wasn’t a big fan of whatever Blatt called for and it’s very telling in his voice.

It was also apparent that LeBron was also very upset before the play that he got hacked by Joakim Noah and no foul was called. So he either took the play into his own hands because he was mad and wanted to show everyone why you don’t anger LeBron, or he legitimately didn’t like the play.

Perhaps it was both.

Whatever the case may be, it doesn’t spell well for the head coach when the team’s top player is admitting he took the last play into his own hands rather than running with what the coach designed.

LeBron might have hit the game winner on Sunday, but it was by his own design and not that of Blatt.
