LeBron James was almost taken out by a rouge mop — which would have been the most Cleveland thing possible to happen to the Cavaliers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been bit by the injury bug in a bad way already, with Kevin Love being lost for the entire postseason and Iman Shumpert and Kyrie Irving battling injuries that are forcing them to operate at less than 100 percent.

But if LeBron James were to ever get injured — well, the world might implode into itself. Given the rash of injuries that have happened over the course of the postseason to the Cavaliers, every little thing that happens to LeBron James is a big deal.

Even something as small as tripping on a mops.

Heading into halftime, LeBron James was nearly taken out by a mop — which would have been both unfortunate and the most Cleveland thing ever.

Every fan in Cleveland collectively did a Joey….

LeBron just stumbled over the mop, but this could have gone a lot worse. Sure, it might be making something out of nothing, but the Cavaliers star being taken out by a mop wouldn’t be the weirdest way that a team’s season took a violent pivot in an interesting direction.

Sammy Sosa once missed a handful of games after sneezing too hard — something that happened to a baseball player as recently as this season. Amare Stoudemire was taken out of a playoff series after breaking his hand on a fire extinguisher and Thabo Sefolosha had his ankle supposedly broken by an NYPD officer.

LeBron James being taken out by a mop would have been brutal way to go, and it highlights the fact that literally anything on the court in Chicago is a hazard players’ knees — so watch out.
