The Atlanta Hawks were able to beat the Washington Wizards in Game 4, but how much help did they get from a Kyle Korver travel?

The Atlanta Hawks needed a win in Game 4 against the Washington Wizards to avoid going into a 3-1 hole, and they were bailed out big by Kyle Korver. It wasn’t shot that he hit or a buzzer beater he drained, rather it was a non-call on a travel that Korver got away with that saved the game for the Hawks.

Wizards fans are furious after the referees swallowed their whistles on what appears to have been a travel that could  have given Washington the ball back and given them a chance to tie the game again.

Upon further review on video, it certainly appears that Kyle Korver traveled on a decisive play in the final seconds of the game.

That’s pretty much about as bad a travel as it gets. There’s some grey area thanks to Korver being on his way to the court, but it was a travel and Washington should have gotten the ball back.

Then again, Washington had their chance to tie the game and they failed to get it done thanks to Paul Pierce missing a wide open three that would have tied things up. That was Washington’s chance, and while the travel was bogus and it should have given them the ball back, it was just an extra chance they probably would have squandered.

Still, the whistles were swallowed, and Wizards fans have a legitimate gripe.
