LeBron James won’t let a sore ankle keep him out of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls match up in Game 5 on Tuesday night.
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is going to work around the clock to rehab his left ankle after rolling it on Sunday in Game 4. The injury appeared pretty serious in replays and James was down for a while before being helped off the court.
James would continue to play and famously go on to hit the game-winning shot to beat the buzzer.
That injury won’t keep James out of Game 5 on Tuesday night though. According to a report from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, James will get around the clock treatment on his left ankle and play on Tuesday.
On the replays the injury looked really severe and it was pretty remarkable that James kept playing, let alone hit the game-winning shot. James himself said he was surprised he was able to finish after watching the replay.
James’ running mate, point guard Kyrie Irving, is banged up as well. An MRI confirmed that Irving had tendinitis in his left knee, but head coach David Blatt says he will play through the injury.
