The Philadelphia 76ers will be announcing new logos on Tuesday, but they may have already been leaked.

The Philadelphia 76ers have plans to roll out new logos on Tuesday with new uniforms coming reportedly sometime between the NBA Draft Lottery, which will take place a week from today, and the actual NBA Draft at the end of June.

Prior to the announcement scheduled for later today, though, some images started popping up on social media. These images were reportedly filed for trademarks by the 76ers, which considering the timing makes it seem as if these might be the new logos for the team:

For reference, the Sixers aren’t turning into the Brooklyn Nets and going black and white everything. The United States Patent and Trademark Office explicitly states that all filings should be in black and white. So if these are, in fact, the new logos that will be revealed later today, expect to see a bit of color thrown in (thankfully).

Considering all of the ways the 76ers organization could have chosen to go regarding a new logo, this isn’t bad at all. It’s also incredibly smart branding as the team, who has been synonymous with tanking for the past few seasons, seems to head into a new direction in terms of talent can get a new look to shed the baggage of the tanking years.
