Daniel Bryan doing all he can to get back in WWE ring
Daniel Bryan isn’t going to go gently out of the WWE.
Daniel Bryan relinquishing the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw this week in an emotional moment certainly left the wrestling world fearing the worst for one of the most popular guys competing in the squared circle right now.
Not only was it scary to see a guy who just returned four months ago from a serious nerve issue be dealing with another apparent injury, but it’s also an injury that WWE, Bryan, or even dirt sheets know what it is. Perhaps that’s the most disconcerting part in all of this.
Whatever, the injury is, though, Bryan is trying as hard as possible to get back into a WWE ring. He posted this to Instagram on Tuesday:
The fact that he wasted no time going to physical therapy only confirms what wrestling fans already know about Bryan: he loves this business and doesn’t want to hang up his boots just yet.
In his promo that culminated in him vacating the IC title, Bryan said that he didn’t know how long he would be out with this injury. He said it could be “weeks, months, or he could have to retire.”
He’s scheduled to appear at Payback this Sunday, which we have to assume will be in a non-wrestling capacity. However, it’ll be good to keep him in the public’s eye if he can return sooner rather than later.
Whatever this issue he’s having actually is, Bryan is way above a B+ player and deserves to shine in the ring once again. Let’s hope that he gets that opportunity and doesn’t have to walk away as a result of all of this.
