LeBron James made light of Kyrie Irving’s injury as they celebrating taking the series lead.
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving came up in huge in game five of their series against the Chicago Bulls. They came one step closer to advancing out of the second round of the NBA Playoffs behind the effort of their two stars.
James finished the night with 38 points while Irving, who has been dealing with a sprained foot and tendinitis in his knee, finished with 25. As the celebrated the victory to give them a 3-2 lead over the Bulls in the series, James had a little bit of fun at the expense of Irving and his injuries:
Despite all of the turbulence that this team has had to weather through the course of the year, LeBron and Kyrie seem to have formed a pretty strong bond. Whether LeBron is defending the point guard when baited to attack him or just having a good time in a celebration, there seems to be a definite chemistry developing.
Watching how Kyrie walked over to James, though, is a bit troublesome and makes his performance all the more impressive. He can literally barely walk and he’s able to drop 25 points on a feisty and physical Bulls team. Despite not having Kevin Love, it’s hard not be impressed with how the Cavaliers are persevering.
