Michael Jordan featured in new Gatorade commercial
Michael Jordan is the narrator for a new Gatorade commercial that features Usain Bolt, JJ Watt, and many other athletes.
Michael Jordan didn’t become the best basketball player of all time by being lazy and not working on his craft. He had to earn his stripes by putting his blood, sweat, and tears into the game of basketball. Ever since he retired, he has enjoyed seeing young athletes have the same mentality he once had for the sport he loved. In Gatorade’s new commercial featuring MJ as the spokesman, this point is illustrated for the audience.
Michael says in this commercial that “not all sweat is created equal.” By this he means the type of sweat that got him all he accomplished in the NBA. Hard work isn’t something that comes easy, and he want’s young athletes to know that.
The commercial perfectly demonstrates that point with the video to go along MJ’s stoic voice. From high school athletes to the professionals shown in the film, everyone who participates in sports must put in the time if they want to see results. Jordan himself was known for shooting thousands of free throws a day to get where he was. This commercial just puts the final hammer in the coffin on that point.
Everyone loves Michael Jordan, even years after his retirement. To hear him narrate a commercial on hard work is like hearing an expert relay a lecture on his given field. MJ is the best. People already knew that, but this commercial just gives them another reason to be a Michael Jordan fan.
