When is the Champions League final?

When will the 2015 Champions League final be played?
Barcelona dispatched Bayern Munich on Tuesday to punch their ticket to the Champions League final. On Wednesday, Juventus and Real Madrid squared off with the second spot in the final up for grabs.
This game was the closer of the two ties, Juventus winning the first leg 2-1 at home. It looked like things were going Real Madrid’s way early, Cristiano Ronaldo scoring from the spot to tie the aggregate and take the lead on away goals.
Then Morata scored to tie the game and give Juventus the lead in the aggregate scoreline, and from then on it was just a holding pattern as they tried to prevent Real Madrid from tying it up.
Had Real Madrid advanced, it would’ve been their second year in the final after defeating Atletico Madrid last year. It also would’ve been the second consecutive year they played a domestic league rival in the final, with an El Clasico match up against Barcelona.
Instead, Juventus will look to take down another Spanish giant when they face Barcelona in early June. Unlike the previous knockout rounds of the tournament, the final is just one game and played on neutral ground. The previous rounds were two game contests with the winner determined by an aggregate scoreline.
Despite the fact that Juventus knocked off Real Madrid, and their superstar scoring front of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema, they’ll face an even better offensive trio from Barcelona. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar have combined to score more goals than any other Barcelona attacking trio in history, and Suarez started the season late.
The final will take place on the first Saturday in June, and be played at Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany.
Interestingly enough this is the same stadium where Italy and Juventus goal keeper Gigi Buffon won the 2006 World Cup.
Date: Saturday, June 6th
Location: Berlin, Germany
Venue: Olympiastadion
