Floyd Mayweather and The Money Team were involved in an altercation at Game 5 of Warriors-Grizzlies.

Floyd Mayweather and his crew, famously branded as The Money Team, were present courtside at Game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies. Apparently they had a lot more going on than just watching the Warriors blow out the Grizzlies in ORACLE Arena.

After arriving late, Mayweather and The Money Team were booed by the crowd as they were shown walking in on the Jumbotron. According to TMZ, it was after that when one female fan continued to taunt Mayweather’s entourage and then began using a “thunder stick” to escalate the conflict.

The Oakland Police Department stated that they have a report of a “mutual combat battery” from ORACLE on Wednesday and Mayweather’s camp maintains that nothing got physical in the altercation with the women.

However, that’s not what some fans that were in the stands are saying.

First, there’s this tweet that appears to show the altercation in its verbal state with a comment saying that things actually did get physical:

Then there’s another fan that claims to have witnessed the entire thing and spells out his version of the events that transpired:

There’s definitely something going on here more than what both TMZ and the Oakland Police Department have on record. Mayweather himself doesn’t have an upstanding track-record when it comes to violence against women, having been cited for abuse five separate women, per the Boston Globe.  Mayweather served prison time in 2012 – two months to be exact – for a 2010 attack on Josie Harris. That doesn’t mean that his whole crew has the same issues, but it doesn’t help their case against these fan accounts of what happened.

It should be noted that none of these reports have Mayweather himself being involved directly in the altercation, just members of his crew.

We’ll have to wait and see if any more evidence to confirm any of these details emerge, but this is something that could undoubtedly blow up in the near future.
