Vying for a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against each other on Thursday evening. The Cavs came out on top, but LeBron James got in some trash talking before the game could be decided.
Scottie Pippen, a Bulls legend, was sitting courtside during the game in Chicago and the two teams faced off in what seemed an even matchup. Both were fighting for a spot in the conference finals, but the Cavaliers held a 3-2 series lead.
Nearly every expert out there predicted the Bulls would win on their home court and force a Game 7 in Cleveland. I’m guessing most of the NBA, outside of Cleveland, was hoping for that as well.
However, while the Cavs were ripping the Bulls to shreds, LeBron was having some fun with Scottie Pippen.
According to ESPN commentator Mark Jackson, the taunt was directed at Pippen, and it seemed to cause a bit of a stir around the internet.
You can’t really hate on the playful gesture, however, as LeBron’s Cavs absolutely destroyed the Bulls on their home court, winning the ‘big’ game by 21 points, 94-73.
The Cavaliers will be waiting on an Eastern Conference Finals opponent in the coming days, but will have to move forward in the playoffs without Kevin Love who suffered a dislocated shoulder in round one.
Lebron is just playing with the minds of legends nowadays.
