Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson went up to finish an alley oop and paid the price physically as he finished off the impressive score.

Tristan Thompson has been the unsung hero of the Cavaliers series against the Chicago Bulls.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Each game, Thompson has been giving up his body to make big plays for the Cavaliers.

The latest play was incredible and also looked extremely painful.

As point guard Matthew Dellavedova drove he lobbed the ball up to Thompson, who went up and over Mike Dunleavy and scored the ball with an impressive 180 degree turn.

While scoring the amazing twist and turn was the good news for Thomspon, getting hung up on top of Dunleavy sent him falling straight on his back and arm several feet to the ground with a thunderous thud.

Both of his legs were above his head and he had nowhere to go for a soft landing. Talk about giving it all up for your team.

Thompson didn’t do anything dumb or go after anyone after the play, instead he walked it off and went to the free throw line to shit his free shot.

A fall from that height could have been extremely dangerous, especially landing on the hardwood floor. Fortunately Thompson is okay and he has a pretty sweet play to show for it.
