Kyle Korver gave us a highlight tonight, and it had nothing to do with him shooting the ball

Generally whenever we get a highlight that features Kyle Korver, it includes something with him shooting the basketball. When Kyle Korver’s name is brought up, we tend to think of him dropping in the three ball.

Well on Friday night in Game 6 against the Washington Wizards, Korver gave us a highlight…but it had nothing to do with him shooting the ball.

Actually, as surprising as this might be to some, it involves something that Korver did on the defensive end of the court.

In the second quarter, Otto Porter was underneath the basket and trying to the the Wizards two points with the easy put-in. Well, it was anything but easy, as Korver just obliterated the ball right out of his hands.

Wow, who knew that Korver had something like that in him? Can anyone even recall the last time that Kyle Korver was part of a highlight and it had something to do with the defensive aspect of the game?

Throughout this playoff run for the Hawks, Korver has been one of the most valuable players for Atlanta, and this was just another example of that.
