So, Stephen Curry is pretty good. Curry, the star guard for the Golden State Warriors and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, helped his team close out the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals. All told, Curry scored 32 points, notching 10 assists and grabbed six rebounds. Oh, and he did this:

The best part about the shot is how unsurprising it is for everyone who watched it. Normally, you would jump out of your chair, call your buddy, high-5 some friends, whatever. Instead, the second that ball left Curry’s hand, you knew there was a legitimate chance it could be finding the bottom of the net.

Even though there was still a quarter left to play after that shot, it really ended the game. Memphis was never able to make a sustained run, allowing Golden State to move onto the conference finals for the first time since 1976. The Warriors have not won a championship since 1975, back when Rick Barry led them over the Washington Bullets in a huge upset.

With Curry and Klay Thompson providing ample scoring, Golden State is the odds-on favorite to make the Finals and likely face the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who won’t be watching that series? LeBron James and Kyrie Irving squaring off against Curry and Thompson, all looking for their first rings, sans James.

We can only hope there will be a few 62-foot buzzer-beaters in the offing, because those things are really epic. Keep doing what you do Mr. Curry. Please and thank you.
