The Los Angeles Clippers lost in Game 7 to the Houston Rockets, and Chris Paul was so out of it that he quoted Ricky Bobby to explain his feelings.

When the Los Angeles Clippers let Game 6 of their series against the Houston Rockets, no one expected the flame out that ended up happening in Game 7. The Clippers needed to win to keep their season alive, and they failed in every way possible.

Chris Paul was so shell shocked after the loss to the Houston Rockets in Game 7 that he quoted Ricky Bobby in his postgame press conference.

That’s sad — funny, but also sad. Chris Paul isn’t a dislikable character in the NBA, in fact he’s a guy we all want to see win. It’s just something that has eluded him his entire career, dating back to his failed March Madness run with Wake Forrest at the beginning of the 2000s.

For whatever reason, the Clippers are cursed, and it’s something that Chris Paul is very clearly getting sick of.

However, quoting Ricky Bobby in a postgame press conference is a complete and total sign of utter depression, and it’s not the only time Ricky Bobby was relevant to Chris Paul and the Clippers in their Game 7 loss.

Something needs to change, because Chris Paul is about to make Ricky Bobby a sad thing and we can’t be having any of that.
