Dynasty League Top 100 Running Backs

I have ranked the top 100 running backs for dynasty leagues. The criteria used for these rankings are a player’s talent, situation, and age. Things to note about my rankings, I have Todd Gurley ranked as my 2nd running back overall. I understand it’s an aggressive ranking for Gurley, but I have been proclaiming him as a generational talent, and I believe he is going to be a top running back in the league with in a year. I’m also very aggressive in my rankings for Melvin Gordon because he’s a young talented running back who is in a situation where he is set up to succeed as a rookie. I’m low on a lot of the older running backs. I’m not an ageist, but running backs over the age of 27 tend to have their production nose dive toward the end of their careers, and you don’t want to be left holding the bag when that happens. Older running backs are depreciating assets on the trade market, where younger running backs hold their value longer. I have Andre Ellington ranked low because I don’t believe he’s that talented. I like David Johnson a lot, I feel he’s underrated, and I think he’s going to steal Ellington’s job this season. During the latter portion of the rankings, I have running backs with high upside who are fliers ranked higher than older backups like Toby Gerhart because the odds of Gerhart being a top fantasy back is highly unlikely and highly athletic young running backs are more likely to hit if they get an opportunity.
