One Duke fan took his allegiance to a major level, getting a tattoo to honor the program’s five championships.

Fans have been known to do ridiculous things, especially fans as rabid as those supporting the Duke Blue Devils. There’s a reason that they call their home student section the “Crazies.”

One fan has taken it to a very real and permanent level, though. Instagram user jf3rg_ (his real name we aren’t really sure of) posted this picture of the new tattoo he just got on his left forearm that was dripping with Duke obsession:

That’s right; this gentleman has “Duke” with the years of the program’s five National Championships in the basketball. Perhaps the strangest part is the bird in the top right of the ink. That’s an interesting choice. Then again, so is covering your entire forearm with a school’s name and their national championships.

However crazy you might think this guy is for permanently getting that put on his forearm, it’s far from the craziest tattoo that a sports fan has ever gotten. After the Detroit Lions went 0-16 in 2008, one fan got a tattoo to commemorate the epic failure of that season:

Until you’re a big enough fan to get your favorite team’s lowest point in the history of the franchise or program inked permanently on your body, nothing is getting crazier than that tattoo.
