When is NBA Draft Lottery 2015?
By Josh Hill
The NBA Draft Lottery determines who will get the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, but when will we find all of the results out?
All year long, the teams who are lowest of the low on totem pole have been hoping for the best odds at winning the No. 1 pick that could turn their franchise around. We’ve seen it done with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Orleans Pelicans as of late, and that could happen for the Knicks, Timberwolves, Lakers or Sixers as well.
Anyone could win the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, and every one of the teams in the lottery could benefit from winning the top pick.
Here’s a look at the complete odds at who will win the No. 1 pick this year at the NBA Draft:
1. Timberwolves, 25%
2. Knicks, 19.9%
3. Sixers, 15.6%
4, Lakers, 11.9%
5. Magic, 8.8%
6. Kings, 6.3%
7. Nuggets, 4.3%
8. Pistons, 2.8%
9. Hornets, 1.7%
10. Heat, 1.1%
11. Pacers, 0.8%
12. Jazz, 0.7%
13. Suns, 0.6%
14. Thunder, 0.5%
The Thunder, Suns, Jazz, Pacers and Heat all have minimal chances at winning the lottery, but don’t think that the Timberwolves are a lock for the No. 1 pick. Historically, the team with the best odds doesn’t win the No. 1 pick — and New York and Los Angeles needing the No. 1 pick will surely get conspiracy nuts all hot and bothered this year.
