NBA Draft Lottery Results: Knicks-Lakers fans react on Twitter
With the 2015 NBA Draft Lottery concluding and the [team] getting the no. 1 overall pick, some fans are happy and some not so happy. Twitter tells us who falls in each category for the Knicks and Lakers fans out there.
The NBA Draft Lottery is an exciting time for those teams who don’t get to play in the NBA post season. While April, May, and June belong to playoff teams, May 19th belongs to the teams who didn’t make it to the post season. Some have high hopes for their teams and use an assortment of lucky charms to try and sway the basketball gods into giving their team a no. 1 overall pick. But this year the Minnesota Timberwolves won the lottery and will receive the no. 1 overall pick.
The New York Knicks didn’t get the pick they thought they would. Most would say they got cheated or that there is a conspiracy theory associated with the Draft Lottery after Cleveland has won it numerous times without receiving very good odds the past couple of years. So, Knicks fans let the NBA know via twitter just how good they feel about this supposed conspiracy theory and Minnesota getting the no. 1 overall pick. Like all things in pop culture, twitter reacted. And some of the tweets are pure gold.
On the other hand, Lakers fans can receive a sigh of relief. If they would have landed outside the first five picks, they would have lost their lottery pick to the Philadelphia 76ers. Fans reacted with enthusiasm on twitter.
