Seahawks GM calls Ryan Tannehill’s agent to congratulate him

The Seahawks GM called the agent of Ryan Tannehill to congratulate him, although he wasn’t completely serious for obvious reasons
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be a very rich man, as he recently agreed to a new deal with the team that could pay him in the area of $96 million. With Tannehill not really proving himself to be among the elite in the game at the position just yet, some praise really needs to be thrown the way of his agent Pat Dye.
Well, some praise was cast his way from Seahawks General Manager John Schneider, who called him to congratulate him on the deal. Although, the congratulations might not be for what some think.
You see, Ryan Tannehill has not been to any Super Bowls yet in his career, nor has he even made an appearance in the playoffs. Now Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson –who has been to two Super Bowls, winning one of them– is still seeking a lucrative deal from the only team that he has called home since entering the NFL in 2012.
So, the conversation between Schneider and Dye was basically the Seahawks GM saying, “Hey, thanks for eventually breaking my bank!”
Given the success he’s had since he entered the league, it’s not expected that the Seahawks are going to let Wilson walk when his deal is up. But with the deal Tannehill got, keeping him just got a little more expensive.
