The Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers get the Eastern Conference Finals underway tonight, so what better time to drop a our preview.
Atlanta Hawks (1) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
What’s the biggest matchup problem in the series: the Hawks having Sir Foster? Or the Hawks’ Twitter account?
Eric (@ericbuenning): Sir Foster. Don’t underestimate how important an organ advantage is.
Matt (@Matt_Cianfrone): Sir Foster is the biggest mismatch in the entire league.
Chris (@ChrisBarnewall) Sir Foster is the greatest of all time. Enough said.
Ian (@IanDougherty) Sir Foster. He amplifies the already-bonkers playoff atmosphere in Atlanta with his organ playing. He’s incredible.
Wes (@wcgoldberg): When he gets the crowd pumped up when he plays Four Five Seconds on the organ, Sir Foster will trump any amount of tweeting the Hawks PR staff can do.
Jack (@jackhaveitall): Now, the Hawks Twitter dot com account is the best in the league, but Sir Foster is by far the biggest matchup problem in this series. Cleveland’s game ops have no chance against the work Atlanta’s crew is putting in.
Which team has the more lovable washed up old man chilling on their bench?
Eric: Hawks. Their entire bench is fantastic. I also don’t think of ‘’lovable’’ when I think of the Cavs bench. Sorry ‘bout it.
Matt: Can you be washed up if you were never any good in the first place? Asking for James Jones. If not then the Hawks because Elton Brand is cool.
Chris: Brendan Haywood will always hold a special place in my heart for no real reason. Probably because I felt bad for him in those couple years he spent in Cleveland.
Ian: The Hawks’ bench is automatically cooler because they have Austin Daye. As far as lovable old men go, Atlanta’s Elton Brand once wrote a beautiful response letter to a fan who chastised him for leaving Duke early.
Wes: Bredan Haywood is on the Cavs?
Jack: Shawn Marion is cool, but I’ve got to go with the Hawks here. And specifically Elton Brand. Like Ian said, he owned that stupid Duke fan, plus he had a rap battle with Shaq, and his nickname is OG.
Give a #10WordRecap of this Iman Shumpert song
Eric: Iman’s flow is good, but… never rap about Cleveland, man.
Matt: {Ed. note: Apparently Matt was too perplexed to write a response.}
Chris: Oh, well that definitely is a song no doubting that.
Ian: I wonder if “Empire” will steal this from Shump too?
Wes: Next, a rap remix of “Cleveland Rocks” featuring Drew Carey
Jack: Was nice of him to throw Joe Harris a mention.
