Matthew Dellavedova tries alley oops lob, fails miserably (Video)
By Josh Hill
The Cleveland Cavaliers need to play tight basketball against the Atlanta Hawks, and Matthew Dellavedova isn’t really contributing to that.
The Cleveland Cavaliers praised Matthew Dellavedova after he led the team in scoring in their Game 6 win over the Chicago Bulls last week. But while everyone outside of Cleveland was pretending like they were discovering a star in the making, we were reminded on Wednesday night why we didn’t hear much from the Australian player before.
Dellavedova apparently didn’t get the memo about playing tight basketball as he threw up a lob for an alley oop that doesn’t even work in NBA JAM.
Yeah — that’s bad.
This all comes after Delly was talked up following the Chicago Bulls series and how well he played off the bench there. He led the Cavaliers in scoring in that Game 6 win and he looked like a stud in the making this postseason.
Everyone wondered why we hadn’t been talking about Matthew Dellavedova before, and everyone was talking about how special his story was.
This is why we don’t talk about Matthew Dellavedova. For every great, tenacious play he makes he follows it up with a boneheaded move like this.
