Virginia Tech head men’s basketball coach Buzz Williams got to sit down and read mean tweets for his website. The video did not disappoint.

After his first season as head coach of Virginia Tech, Buzz Williams is looking to build the program into a perennial winner, trying to avoid another 11-22 season. The Hokies are not the most talented team in the nation, let alone the ACC, but they got themselves a solid coach in Williams.

The first-year coach is heading into his second year with some solid young talent on the roster and some really good incoming freshman, likely to improve on his 11-win opening season with the Hokies considerably.

Don’t be surprised if Virginia Tech is a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament for the next few years as Williams is a solid recruiter and an excellent coach.

Williams also has a solid sense of humor, as he showed in a recent video for his website, CoachBuzzWilliams.com. The video, inspired by Jimmy Kimmel’s celebrity mean tweets, was pretty funny and the tweets that were chosen were pretty harsh.

Coach Williams took them in stride and was a great sport about the whole thing. It’s hard to see the mean things people have to say about you sometimes, but Williams has thick skin, obviously, and got a good laugh at some of them — such as the tweet that said he looked like a huge baby.

Not everyone can laugh this kind of stuff off, but you have to give Buzz some credit.
