Andre Iguodala used to be one of the NBA’s best in-game dunkers. With his combination of length, power and athleticism, Iguodala was able to pull out monster dunks in the halfcourt or transition and was good for a fair amount of highlights. Then age hit and Iggy slowed to the point that those highlight dunks started to become more memories than anything. Tonight he turned back the clock as a way to punctuate a Golden State Warriors run.

Dwight Howard had the great idea to want no part of that one and I can’t blame him. The dunk was so powerful that when it shot out of the rim and started to go down the court some players thought Iguodala missed the dunk. That is impressive. The Warriors bench also seemed to particularly love the play, spilling onto the floor a bit like a game on the And-One Mixtape Tour.
The dunk helped the Warriors go on a run that has put them ahead by a comfortable amount. With 7:34 left in the second quarter, the Warriors currently lead by 17 points. The Rockets have plenty of work to do and quick or this Iggy highlight won’t be the last one we see tonight.
