It didn’t take long for the refs to start calling flagrant fouls Friday night, as they nailed Atlanta Hawks center Pero Antic with a Flagrant 1 after he shoved LeBron James in the air.
James who was driving hard to the hoop, had Antic beat and as Antic went up, he didn’t come close to the ball and instead shoved James instead.
James would crash to the ground and was fortunately okay.
While Antic might have been just too slow as he went up with both hands, he should have known better than to try and compensate with two hands as it came across as a shove and ended up looking a lot worse than probably what the intent was.
However LeBron was defenseless in the air and the call had to be made.
With the Hawks ailing, and LeBron having free reign at the hoop, Atlanta is going to need to do everything in their power to try and stop LeBron.
Unfortunately for them, you can’t just go around shoving guys.
