The Cleveland Cavaliers cruised to a Game 2 win over the Atlanta Hawks, and Usher was there to tell LeBron James he had done a good job.

LeBron James had more than just a solid Game 2 performance against the Atlanta Hawks — he dominated a team that won over 60-games this season and earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. But while it was another day at the office for LeBron James, he was clocked out by none other than Usher before the game was through.

Towards the end of the Cavaliers 94-82 blowout win over the Hawks on Friday night, LeBron James was congratulated on the win by none other than Usher.

Rather than wait until after the game though, Usher simply tapped LeBron on the shoulder while the Cavs star was sitting on the bench and proceeded to give him his best wishes.

This is something you only see in basketball. You won’t see Mark Wahlberg high living Tom Brady on his way out the door in Foxborough and you won’t see any celebrity in a baseball dugout shaking hands — mostly because it’s baseball and no one famous cares.

But basketball is the celebrity sport, so much so that a Grammy winning artist can shake hands with the best player on the planet to say goodbye the same way you would at a party. That’s just how the NBA operates and it’s both a charm and a curse on the sport.
