The Golden State Warriors are trying to get to the NBA Finals, but plane troubles have a way of snagging up those plans.

After two games in the Western Conference Finals, the Golden State Warriors are cruising to their first NBA Finals appearance in the modern era. It’s been a bad stretch for the Dubs, but they’re finally in possession of an MVP leader, an All-Star sidekick and a rookie head coach who might end up hoisting the Larry O’Brien in his first try.

But things can get in a title contender’s way, and sometimes it’s out of their control. That’s what happened to the Warriors this week when they were trying to fly out of the Bay Area and prepare for Game 3 in Houston tonight.

According to Ken Berger, the Warriors team plane was delayed six hours due to mechanical issues.

Instead of just sitting around, the Dubs went back to work to kill the time between the plane being fixed and take off to Houston.

Thankfully, everything was alright and the Warriors arrived in Houston safely.

This isn’t the first time that teams have had issues with planes getting to where they’re supposed be on time. This just so happens to be an issue that held up a team looking to sweep their way to the NBA Finals.
