Carl Edwards is heading to the chase as he won the Coca-Cola 600.

The Coca-Cola 600 was a grueling stretch as it always was.

Last week Denny Hamlin won the All-Star Race, this week Joe Gibbs Racing dominated practice and qualifying.

Today, the team lived up to the hype and expectations as Carl Edwards won his first race of the season by using smart pit strategies to outlast the other drivers on the track.

His teammates were strong too and Kyle Busch in his return once again looked like one of NASCAR’s best. It was a tough night for Martin Truex Jr., who was in first for much of the night, and it looked like he was going to finally pick up his first win of the season.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough fuel to hold onto his lead and was forced to pit. The late pit ended up proving costly and Truex found himself once again close, but not close enough.

With the Coca-Cola 600 in the books, here is the complete finishing order for the race.
